Genre in TV programming has significantly altered since the time television was invented. This is an obvious fact. However, the concept of bringing televisions shows to reality through the introduction of reality-based programs has broken the traditional notion of predictable TV, and the offering of unedited, real-time TV programs brings the level of watching to a higher level.

These kinds of shows are watched by millions of viewers because of the excitement and a plethora of surprises that awaits them since behavior of characters are mostly unexpected and the twist and turns of events are not so predictable unlike in the regular television series that we used to watch. But, since viewers are offered with those kinds of entertainment, their perspectives of an outcome for the show becomes predictable, and eventually they have already thought of the possible endings for a show even if those programs are not even finished yet. This remains a challenge to those who conceptualize TV shows on how to strategize and formulate reality-based programs that will offer a new flavor and excitement for their target market. Also, the inclusion of culture-sensitive elements must be considered so as not to offend one’s religion and social norms, or even face sanctions from the censors.

Whatever the developments may be, reality shows will continue to thrive as people like real-time action and as the cliché goes that one’s life is unique, and so as every reality show.

A lot of us are bored nowadays. Maybe because of so much work that we have done; or too much pressure from the things that surrounds us, or just simply we are bored. Thus, we look for things and ways where we can manage to overcome our boredom and make our life more enjoyable and worth experiencing. But why go out and spend a lot of money to treat yourself, if you can have them right in front of your workstations.

There is a lot of funny stuff circulating in the Web. A search in mighty Google or any search engine will land you to websites designed to provide fun and humor to your surfing experience. The advent of the Internet brought us a variety of Internet resources where we can enjoy and relax through just surfing the cyberspace. And the funny stuffs are limitless, they seem to be increasing in numbers, and when you begin liking them, you’ll also .

First are funny songs. These types of songs are oftentimes melodies that bring laughter through its lyrics or through the way it is sang or interpreted, or the tune is so cool that we feel like dancing whenever we heard of it. Even songs written by foreigners, those with foreign lyrics seemed to be more acceptable and appreciated than before because of the wide circulation the World Wide Web offers to songwriters.

How about commercials? These things used to be kept off by TV viewers. But not all advertisements are waste of time. There are those, even though we don’t like the product or service being advertised, we still wanted them since they have captured our attention. Most of these funny commercials are very much known in the Web and the commercials alone are enough to market that particular service or product. Some of them are even banned in TV, but we’re fortunate we have the Web, and censors cannot prevent us from viewing them.

This age is also the age of reality shows, and they combine wit and humor to bring about real-life entertainment, not those made by actors and actresses. Funny pranks are famous and almost every one, regardless of age, race, and gender, are becoming entertainers in their own merit when their shows took the Web by storm.

See, there are a vast resource of funny stuff and entertaining media in the Internet. Nothing to spend. A search and click will do, and that’s when fun starts.

We consider our pets as members of the family. They give us unconditional love and joy only animals can give. They are forgiving, loyal, and always around. We sometimes feed them the same food we eat. Others join animal shows just to showcase the talents and beauty of their pets. Needless to say, many of us consider them as an integral part of our family.

Dogs and cats are the most common pets. While spiders, lizards, squirrels, snakes and other exotic pets also had their share of owners. Companionship, more than anything else are the reason many people keep them. These animals make their way into our house because of the happiness they bring us. They ruin the sofas, there’s litter everywhere, they smell, their noisy but who cares, they bring joy to the family and that’s more important than all their mischiefs.

A friend is always around whenever you need them. They are clowns that puts away our tiredness and boredom. They are companions that’ ll put their lives just to save us. They’re such bundle of joys always willing to cheer us up. That’s why it is common to see pets in every home. The memories we shared with our pets are usually among the most memorable events in our life. We take pictures of them in their candid moments with our family. Kids play with them as we take videos and images of them. Others avail of professional photographers just to make pet portraits of their most loyal pets and display it with the family’s memorabilia. Putting them in a pet portrait ensures that their memories will last a lifetime.

Ten Article Writing Tips for Newbies

This article on the 10 (no, 11… yes, 11) tips for aspiring authors is not written from the catbird seat point of view of the article publisher or database manager. It is rather by and from the point of view of an writer who thinks the early misgivings. It is composed particularly for the starting article writer. I have composed and presented hundreds of articles for publication to a horde of article hosts and database managers and still finds article writing my enemy.

1. Necessity vs Desire:
Compositions and Web blogs are necessary in today’s scheme of search engine indexing. Not what the newbie wants to hear. Just think what the Holy Book states, “there has nothing over taken you that is not common to man”. That’s right! Many of us detest article and blogging at times, and some of us dread the journey to pen and paper (or keyboard as the case may be) all the time. Many a webmaster would call them “a unavoidable evil” as they are not broadly speaking anyone’s best wished house keeping chores.

2. Just Start, It Gets Better:
First it is often tough to get a subject or theme and to get started. We know writers who literally get sick thinking about the process. Lighten up. There are a lot to write about, name it: alternative medicine, cancer diseases, true religion, life insurance, playing online poker, cheap insurance. Others may think of even more unusual topics such as penis enlargement and cheap viagra. Once an writer has a starting point and gets passed the initial thoughts, blogging and article usually goes pretty smoothly.

The important thing is that you get started. Choose a topic you are familiar with and know something about and just begin writing. You will be pleasantly surprised at just how easily ideas flow. Don’t take everybody knows what you know. They don’t. Will Rogers once uttered, “all men are ignorant, just on different subjects”. And, so it is!

3. Good vs Perfection:
Your old English teacher is not looking over your shoulder. This paper does not have to be perfect. It doesn’t mean it should not get a point or to say that it does not have to be correct. It does or at least it should be. However, our goal is not perfection and is, in fact, seldom possible. Too much detail and you run the danger of losing your reader on several levels. Too long and
most readers simply don’t have the time or interest to read the material regardless of how important it is.

4. Length of Blog vs Length of Article:
Most publishers require a minimum of six hundred (600) words per article - some will let you slide with four hundred (400) words. Blogs can be much smaller. Blogs can and maybe should support appropriate photos and embedded links.

Just don’t over do it. Too gaudy or too slow to load and you have wasted your time, ticked off a potential reader, and probably upset a publisher who can ban you entirely from their service. articles, then again, typically cannot carry these extra touches concurring to the requirements of most publishers.

5. Format:
Save your article in ASCII format. There are many tools that does this thing. A search the web for “free ASCII editor” will give you a lot of tools to choose from. WordPress is a standard pick. If all else fails simply use notepad to turn out your masterpiece.

6. Grammar and Spelling:
Once you have your article or blog run it through a good spell checker and a good grammar checker. Microsoft Word works well for these purposes. Just don’t use the MS Word copy for writing of your article. Rather use its suggestions to make any unavoidable rectifications to your plain text copy. The MS Word copy will work for blogs although other editors are preferred.

Just like the days when you were encouraged by teachers, you will find article and blog writing skills become easier with time and practice.

7. Publish and Announce:
Once your article is ready you may want to use some software to publish and announce it. First do a search for Blog hosts and select those which best suit your needs. Register in one or more and publish your blog there. Then search for blog and RSS announcers and utilize them to get your blog known.

Now that you have that out of the way find an article wizard that will post your articles to free web publishers. You can post them one at a time by hand if you are really bored and have absolutely nothing else in life to do. Using an automatic poster you can publish to hundreds of servers in an hour or so. The only way to go.

8. Patience:
Now, have some forbearance. Here is where you lose control. Many of those who host articles are timely and your articles will be reviewed in a span of 24 to 48 hours. But, many others will be days and weeks down the road therefore never date an article - a sure way to get rejected.

9. Rejection - “sorry your article has been declined”:
Be prepared for most directories to reject your writings. Do not take it personally. It usually has little to do with you or your article.

Some sites instantly reject articles for spelling errors when there are none or where there is more than way to spell a word. And, just as in any other endeavor some hosts are simply too slow-moving and get so far behind, the easiest and quickest thing to do (and perhaps the only alternative) is to reject the whole article. You will know who do this over time.

There are also people who review your writings through the sausage grinder and if they find certain words, irrespective of how they are used, your article are instantly junked. These are the people who can’t publish the Holy Bible because of the words it contains that may offend readers. These are people who are narrow-minded and doesn’t deserve a place in article writing.

Remember the rule: In every rule, there is an exemption.

10. Always believe, and keep cranking out articles:
Since most authors, especially newbies, prepare only one copy of an article against the advice of most seasoned authors it is important that the newbie keep his chin up - keep the faith. That will be easier as more and more of your writings are accepted and published getting visitors to your website while creating those all important back links.

It is not necessary that every host to accept every submission. After one or two servers publish your article on any given subject, the search engines tend to penalize you anyway by ignoring additional postings. This is close to spamming and while it could help someone find you, it probably won’t. It is not necessarily, the more the merrier. The additional listings will not increment your page rankings or links reported by the search engines. It is more significant to get your article published by servers with the highest Google PageRank possible.

Now, one EXTRA TIP for you: Along with “the rejection slip” will usually come a proposition on how to “fix” your article and a request that you resubmit it. Do not blow your time. While trying comply with one database manager’s request you could have written a new article where you can get more punch. There will be enough web publishers will pick your article up so move on and save yourself some time and heartburn.

Everybody has a thought or idea at least once a day usually at the most inopportune time. How many good ideas have you lost because of waiting? Don’t procrastinate! Go! Capture that thought before it is gone forever.

I, Rey Pugon, however am a master at defying the unavoidable. I stare ‘The Unavoidable’ in the face and and name him dirty ones. I say, if you want to stop working, STOP WORKING; The following are the five reasons why you should.

1. If you leave your job you’ll have more time to devote to reading my articles, columns, and lists. That will make me a trademark name down at the Office of Unemployment and Welfare Services. My famousness is a simple price in achieving your dreams. Think about this when you see me on TV.

2. Quitting your job will make you feel wonderful. For about 10 minutes you’ll be on cloud nine, you’ll be on top of the world, you’ll have a good life, you’ll be: -insert your own line of though here-. Then the worries start about the mortgage, school tuition, groceries, and how you’re going to pay that $850 you owe the Petermanns for running over their mailbox and a whole row of prize-winning azaleas. All this will probably depress you to the point of assisted suicide, but at least you had 10 minutes of freedom.

3. TV shows during the day is some of the most thrilling and captivating television in the market. You’ll inquire how you ever survived without all those soap operas, movies, talk shows, reality shows, and judge shows where you suspect that the judge has beed paid. 4. In your formerly employed state you missed all those important calls from collection agencies and other bill collectors. Now that you have quit your job you’ll be able to sit at home in eager anticipation of these oh-so-important calls. Toss in a few telemarketers, calls from the Sheriff’s Association asking for donations, and a few of those computers that call you and ask you to ‘Hold for an important message’ and you’ll have to sit back and relax answering these calls. It’s like having a job again, without getting a salary.

5. Drawing yourself to get out of bed daily at 5:45 in the morning is not good for your health. Your physician will be happy to know for caring enough about your body’s well-being to go as far as leaving your job. He will not, however, see you as a patient anymore since you don’t have health insurance. But there’s no need to worry, after all that’s why we have free clinics. Sitting all day in a damp clinic waiting room next to two teenagers diagnosed with Gonorrhea is yet another experience you would have missed out on if you keep working on your present job.

There you have it folks. Five raesons why you should go out and leave your job. Have a free feeling to say these to your employer when you handle your resignation. Reasons for Celebrating Birthdays

Why do we observe celebrating our birthdays? What is it that we are toasting? Is it because against all the odds we managed to survive another year? Are we marking the progress we have made, our cumulative achievements and possessions? Is that symbolizes a new hope for us to live our life for the year to come?

None would matter maybe..

If we are remembering the past year, would we still drink to it if we know we are going to die soon? Not likely. But why? How is the future relevant (our own eventful death) when one is celebrating the past? The past is immutable. No future event can corrupt the fact that we got it through for another year. Then why not celebrate this fact?

Because what we think is not the past. It is about our future, not about the past. We are observing having arrived so far because such successful resilience allows us to move forward. We proclaim our potential to enjoy all what life has to offer. Birthdays are expressions of exuberant, blind faith in our own suspended mortality.

But if these all are true, surely as we grow older we have less and less cause to celebrate. What reason do octogenarians have to drink to another year if that gift is not easily guaranteed? Life provides diminishing returns: the longer you are invested, the less likely you are to reap the dividenda of survival, life insurance for example. Indeed, based on actuary tables, it becomes increasingly less rational to celeberate as we grow older.

Thus, we are driven into thinking self-delusionally defying death are what birthday meant. Preserving the illusion of immortality are what birthdays mean. Birthdays are forms of acting out our magical thinking. By celebrating our existence, we give ourselves protective charms against the nonsense and arbitrariness of a impersonal, cruel, cold, and and most often a world full of hostility.
